Laid out in the style of an English landscape garden around 1850, the historic parks extend over 50 hectares like a jewel through Bad Elster. Well-known horticultural artists were involved in the planning and design in the 19th and 20th centuries. The centerpiece is the royal complex of Park am Badeplatz, Albert Park and Waldpark, which are lined with nostalgically beautiful spa architecture and historical event venues.

From May to June, the multicolored rhododendrons transform the royal grounds into a veritable sea of ​​flowers, as do the approximately 70.000 seasonal plants, which are arranged according to historical planting patterns depending on the season.
