A so-called “Exercise paradise” was created for fitness- and sports-oriented guests, visitors and residents in the Nordpark in Bad Elster. The facility can be accessed by anyone and can be used free of charge. Children smaller than 140 cm may only access the Fitness- and Motorikpark® Bad Elster with a guardian.

What is the Fitness- and Motorikpark® Bad Elster?
The concept of the original Motorikparks® was the idea of the Austrian sports scientist Dr Roland Werthner and was developed according to scientific sports and training considerations.
The 2,500 m² large area consists of seven stations which are structured according to the type of stress. Here, you can train at a total of 32 individual devices, among others on the coordination and balancing course, running and rhythm station, balancing workshop, strength place and stretching oasis.
Classical training sessions for increased strength, endurance and speed are combined with unusual exercises for increased coordination, balance, spatial orientation and rhythm.

How do you train correctly?
We recommend repeated training per week for at least 30 minutes. The first two stations can be used several times in a row in order to warm up your muscles. Sturdy shoes increase surefootedness.
The effects can be of a short- and long-term nature. Unfamiliar and exciting new motions and variations result in immediate and permanent adjustments of the motoric abilities and of the possible movements.
Safety instructions
The facility shall not be used in case of rain or ice due to the increased danger of slipping.
