Royal Spa House
The Royal Spa House in Bad Elster reflects the relevance of Bad Elster as a place of relaxation and culture.
Experience a royal ambience
The idea for this cultural centre of the spa facilities came from influential Saxon personalities of the social life of that time. Under the direction of state architect Trobsch, the Royal Spa House was then built in the German Three Emperors’ Year of 1888 to 1890.
The design of the castle-like facility is almost completely preserved. This is a rarity in such buildings. Therefore, great importance was attached to expertise and empathy during the renovation from 1996 to 1998.
As the “House of the Guest”, the Royal Spa House is located in the heart of Bad Elster. In the immediate vicinity are the KunstWandelhalle, the Albert Bath and the King Albert Theatre. Today, the building is a stylish venue and is also popular for congresses and conferences. The two historic halls - “Great Hall” and “Blue Hall” - together with the covered terraces and the modern equipment offer an ideal setting for events with “royal Saxon” flair.
