The moor that occurs naturally in Bad Elster is applied extensively at 40 – 42 °C to different body parties, e.g. the back and joints. Then the guest is wrapped in a special film for up to 20 minutes so that the humus matter contained therein can release their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect. After a work-in time of around 12 minutes, the moor is rinsed off with hot water. The follow-up rest time supports the natural reaction of the body.

Effect: The temperature of the moor causes a deep warming and relaxation of the tissue. The circulation is stimulated, the metabolism is stimulated, the immune system is supported and pain is reduced. Also the skin will experience an relaxing but also nurturing and tightening effect.

Indication: Due to the sustained and deep heat effect, moor treatments are frequently used in alleviating rheumatic diseases, complaints involving the locomotive system and muscle tension and provide an ideal preparation for massage.
