The Pöhl dam near Plauen is a unique resort with a diverse range of flora and fauna.
The Pöhl dam near Plauen was created when 1954 another flood the Vogtland shook. The solution: a reservoir. Implementation began in 1960. Previously there was a village at the bottom of the large lake, the old Pöhl. The residents were accommodated in the surrounding cities. Finally, the Pöhl dam emerged from a huge construction site with 23 concrete fields.
The leisure activities around and on the Pöhl dam near Plauen are so numerous that everyone can find their favorite activity. Next to bathing beaches, which can be found practically everywhere around the lake playgrounds the smaller visitors in front of and in the water. There are also dog beaches and nudist areas.

Climbing enthusiasts will find plenty of challenges in Central Germany's largest climbing park, and there are even golf courses.
