Electrotherapy is a term for the use of electrical current in physical therapy as an accompanying measure to promote healing. Low-frequency, medium-frequency or high-frequency currents are used. Ultrasound is a special form of electrotherapy. It is a physical process that supports metabolic processes using sound waves. Due to its high frequency, the ultrasound cannot be felt and a certain amount of heat may be generated. The micro-vibration massage creates tensile and compressive forces on the cells, which improves cell membrane permeability. The body's healing processes are supported. Mechanical vibrations warm the tissue, relax the muscles and increase their elasticity.
