In the local history museum you will find numerous, lovingly compiled details about the history of Bad Brambach. You can see interesting exhibits on local history, customs, culture, crafts and the development of the spa up to the original workshops of former musical instrument makers. The bowmaker’s and violin maker’s workshop and the flax processing line are particularly interesting.

In the idyllic village of Schönberg, on the southern slope of the Kapellenberg, you will find Schönberg Castle dating from 1563, which enchants visitors with its valuable Renaissance and Baroque stucco ceilings, cross vaults and wall paintings. In addition to a tour through the rooms of the house, jewellery and artistic paintings can be admired in a permanent exhibition. Culinary highlights are offered to the visitor in the castle café, which has been lovingly restored according to original models. In addition, weddings can be arranged or concerts can be attended in this stylish ambience.

Today’s Bärendorfer Blasmusikanten were once part of the Volkschor Bärendorf, which has enjoyed great success for decades. They are very popular throughout Vogtland and beyond. They cannot be missing at any village festival, public fair or other festive events. But the absolute highlights are the dance events at the legendary “Bärendorfer Schupfen”.
