Cycling in Vogtland
Anyone who wants to get on a bike in Vogtland will definitely find something to their liking. Whether off the roads or on fine asphalt, the Vogtland can be discovered in a variety of ways.
The Bike World Schöneck has been inviting people to cycle since 2009. On marked MTB routes you go uphill and downhill around Schöneck. But for those who shy away from this, we recommend the topic of e-bikes. As the only region in Saxony, 30 facilities in the region offer a dense network of rental and battery charging stations. Thanks to technical support, the altitudes around Klingenthal, for example, can be cycled by themselves.
If you generally prefer to ski down the valley, you should stop by the Schöneck ski slope. Two downhill routes await fans of downhill power. But no one has to be afraid of pushing their beloved pedalo back up to the starting point. You can take a relaxed seat in the chairlift and treat yourself and your bike to a little break.
The Elster or Göltzschtal cycle path is more family-friendly. In a dignified manner, you can enjoy views and a panorama of scenic beauty without having to climb much higher.
