A special form of connective tissue massage is segment massage. The basis is a reflex relationship between certain spinal cord segments and corresponding cutaneous nerve centers. These centers can present themselves as interference fields. During the segment massage, exactly these skin regions in which the interference fields are located are treated using special massage and stroking techniques.

Effect: The massaged skin sends impulses to the nerves, muscles and organs connected to it, has a beneficial effect on internal organs and promotes blood circulation.

Indication: Functional disorders of internal organs, circulatory disorders, muscle tension, psychosomatic disorders.
